  How did it feel to be loved by True Christians at the Kingdom Hall?

  the love practiced by those in the kingdom hall, how can we describe it?

  there are so many (yeah, there are quite a few who have intense hatred and not love.

  ) witnesses who hate each other, families who call down evil on each other, they wish their mother, father, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, grandkids, nephews, nieces were dead.

  jws are now being individually assigned to smaller territories, and they are told to consistently work that same territory over & over again.

  the reason is that the watchtower wants the jws to build relationships with the people in that area.

  I'm getting the cold shoulder from my dad because I had the audacity to set boundaries on our conversaions.

  Namely, my refusal to debate WT arguments.

  He probably is reasoning that if I refuse to talk about "Jehovah," he has nothing to talk about.

  Yes, monitoring people's actions and conversations is just what JW's do.

  My dad's actions are evidence of this.

  Without reading any of the other posts, I think the statement of being a good Borean takes the cake for irony.

  It was explained at my hall as them not checking out Paul's honesty, no, rather they were checking out the information...for the heck of it? or something.

  The in-context Borean scripture is used to counsel studies to check out their own churches to find all the badness, but to find the JW's having the truth in all things.

  Now, could we do it as JW's? NO! Trust us, is what they said.

  So... I got the 607 defense articles sent to me...

  ...by a family member who recalled that this is one of my major apostate beefs.

  the articles themselves are disgusting pieces of mis-information and require some serious mental gymnastics to actually believe.

  however, they're so damn long-winded and waste so much time on pointless stuff like the 2 pages on the jw's beliefs about the 70 year period, that i am debating on whether or not to write the loyal j-dub family member back on it or not.. it shows just how brainwashed that family member is in that they know that 607 is a problem date, yet happily forward the articles as soem sort of proof while never once reading anything on the topic with an iota of thinking.. after years of having everything i've said on these topics ignored by everyone in my family that i've tried contacting over and over again, i really feel like taking the time to pick through their trash is going to be a big waste.

  I'm going through this exact same thing with my dad and hesitate to check my snailbox.

  I answered his answer to my refutation of 607 BCE with scholarly references on it found through Google.

  It's so easy to find!

  He said all he could find when he checked Google was apostate sites.

  He only checked the first page of sources.

  There were about 10 to 20 pages.

  So, I sent the sites along with their quotes as stated above.

  His answer was that the WTS goes by anchor dates and it conclusively proves 607.

  WTH are anchor dates?

  I thought that either an event happened on a date or it didn't.

  That term makes it sound like the WTS is anchored to certain dates and won't let go.

  I answered him with: I gave you what you asked for as to proof that 607 BCE is not factual, but it seems that you already had your answer before you asked and just want to argue and debate it with me.

  I told you time and again that I don't debate religion or politics, so please stop it.

  That was last week and I haven't heard from him on e-mail since.
